Chimera Entertainment has decided to slightly push back the early access release of its 4X Fantasy Strategy RPG Songs of Silence because it wants to spend more time polishing the last bits of content.
Songs of Silence was originally scheduled for release on May 23rd, but it has been rescheduled to launch on a Tuesday instead of a Thursday, now set for June 4th, 2024.
Why was Songs of Silence's release delayed?
“We are taking some extra time to add the last bits of content and to polish everything to ensure the game meets your expectations and ours.” said a spokesperson for Chimera when announcing the delay.
“This includes balancing gameplay based on the feedback we’ve received, which has been incredibly insightful and constructive.”
Songs of Silence is a turn-based 4X strategy game set in a fantasy world threatened by the all-devouring Silence. The game combines turn-based kingdom management, auto-battler mechanics, and hero development with short, intense real-time battles.
As you can see from the screenshots, it features an eye-catching Art Nouveau style that aims to add a bit of organic pop to its fantasy landscape.
Songs of Silence is out on PC in early access next month via Steam, and once the early access period has concluded at some point in late 2024, we should see it make its way over to consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
