The first season of Apex Legends is well underway and, given the title’s popularity since its surprise launch, it’s no wonder that the community is actively debating the playable Legends. Everyone’s favorite trickster, Mirage, was the subject of recent discussion, with some voices wondering whether or not an Apex Legends Mirage rework might be a good idea.
To answer the community’s questions, Reddit user Leeeeeee-RSPN, who is part of the development team, clarified the team’s stance. By the looks of it, an Apex Legends Mirage buff is more likely to happen than the more drastic alternative.

A complete rework of Apex Legends’ Mirage is unlikely to happen for a number of reasons. In spite of how a portion of the community doesn’t seem to favor Mirage all that much, his win rate is fairly solid, according to Leeeeeee-RSPN.
Another reason why we’re much more likely to see Mirage getting a buff in the future lies in how reworks directly impact the studio’s ability to create new characters, which is “a better focus for the time being”.
“That being said, in the short term, we are definitely open to tuning value level changes - things like “invisibility” opaqueness, invisibility length, ability cool downs, decoy health, etc. He could definitely use a little nudge upwards.”, the post reads.
