What’s the maximum number of players in Phasmophobia? If you are setting up a ghost-hunting session of Phasmophobia with your friends, you might be left wondering about the maximum number of players allowed during ghost hunts on the game’s maps.
Currently, Phasmophobia allows a maximum group size of four players. Unfortunately, we asked Kinetic Games about this during a recent Press Event for the Halloween Update, but it told us there are no plans to open it up to more than four players.

Phasmophobia currently supports four players across all map types. The introduction of crossplay support on October 29th, 2024, made it even easier to play with friends across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Although most of Phasmophobia’s maps are designed for four-player teams, some, specifically Sunny Meadows and the Prison, seem spacious enough to support larger groups. We believe these maps could comfortably accommodate up to six players, so Kinetic Games may consider this in the future.
The latest 2023/2024 roadmap for Phasmophobia does not mention any plans to increase player support. Instead, the development efforts are concentrated on introducing new player models and customization options. Bleasdale Farmhouse and Grafton Farmhouse have already received reworks.
