As promised when Skate’s first season of content was outlined, the Skate-o-Ween event is bringing a touch of spookiness to San Van’s streets.
The introductory video and full details were shared on October 20 by EA and developer Full Circle via the official blog:
“The folks in San Vansterdam are more about fun than fright, so Skate-o-Ween isn’t your traditional Halloween festival. San Van’s gotten a spooky makeover, with plenty of eerie vibes and room to flex some of your wildest style. Stomp those tricks, earn some treats, and unlock new rewards that scream Halloween—think creepy-cool costumes, spooky slip-ons, haunted hoodies, and more. Discover more in the shop to trick out your style and shred till you’re dead.”
As confirmed a while back, Skate-o-Ween will run from Oct. 21 to Nov. 11, 2025. It’ll be followed fast by the Maple Harvest event on November 18. The second S1 event is expected to bring location-altering changes to the game and new outfits to the game too.
Read the quick rundown of limited-time, Halloween-themed changes and additions coming to the game below (spoiler: you’ll want to log into the game daily if you want your treats):
- Updated community parks with Halloween theming.
- New Event tasks every week. These reward “chocolate coins” which can be exchanged for Skate-o-Ween gear, customization, and Build Kit items.
- First-login cosmetic rewards and daily free event currency up for grabs via the in-game store.
Skate Season 1 is set to end in early December after a quick two-month run. Season 2 will start right after and likely begin adding Christmas-themed content to the free-to-play sports game. We’re expecting future seasons to run a bit longer than S1, or at least that’s what EA and Full Circle have been teasing for a while.
