Developer Fatshark has released the fifth gameplay trailer highlighting one of the classes players can control in their co-op shooter Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. This time it's the firey Bright Wizard, whose job is to toast Skaven flesh til it's a crispy flambée.

Fatshark has released a new trailer for the promising - if awkwardly titled - Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, showing the elven Waywatcher in action. Bows and twin daggers, you know the score here. The Waywatcher definitely seems to be the game's most focused ranged character; though everyone can grab a pistol or a musket, she fires faster and more accurately than anyone else.

Taking the phrase "kill it with fire" to its natural conclusion, the Bright Wizard Siena Fuegonasus is one of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide's five playable classes, and developer Fatshark has released some more information about her backstory and abilities. Siena actually starts the game as a prisoner of her fellow heroes, Witch Hunter Victor Saltzpyre and trooper Markus Kruber - wizards in Warhammer Fantasy aren't quite as luckless as their 40K counterparts, but nobody really trusts them either.
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, Fatshark's four player, first-person, co-op rat extermination simulator, will make use of the Umbra SDK to recreate the distinct, plague-y atmosphere of Warhammer Fantasy, the developer has announced. Fatshark explains that the game is using the new Stingray game engine developed by Autodesk, into which Umbra’s "occlusion culling technology" has been integrated. But what in the name of Zeus does that mean?
Another day, another Warhammer game pops up - this time it's Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, a Left 4 Dead-inspired co-operative action game that sees four players take on the disease-ridden hordes of the Skaven, Warhammer Fantasy's vile ratmen. The game's existence was revealed after several screenshots and bits of information from a cover feature in Finnish gaming magazine Pelaaja were leaked. Rumour has it that the game's being developed by Swedish team Fatshark, of War of the Roses fame.
