Rumor: Blizzard's 'Project Titan' will be more casual

Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia is reporting that Activision Blizzard is diversifying its interests, and appealing to younger gamers with games like Skylanders, the videogame that will have overt tie-ins with action figures.

However, one of the items of note in Bhatia’s report is that he sees potential in “a new casual MMO” from Activision Blizzard, and he explicitly told Gamasutra he was referring to “Project Titan”, Blizzard’s unnamed MMO that is planned for 2013.

Having a casual MMO would certainly prevent the new game from leaching the subscribership of World of Warcraft. Will Project Titan also be free-to-play? Time will tell.
