Warhammer: Vermintide 2 goes free-to-keep between November 21 and November 24. Anyone who has yet to sample its distinct brand of first-person co-op slashing and shooting has a chance to add this acclaimed title to their Steam libraries at no cost during this window.
Publisher and developer Fatshark is celebrating 10 years of its popular franchise through special activities and content set to go live during the final months of 2025.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Free-to-Keep November 2025
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 goes free-to-keep shortly after receiving the new Return to the Reik map. Available for all owners, it reimagines one of the most popular maps from the original Vermintide while adding new paths and surprises for anyone daring to return or explore it for the first time.
Since launching in 2018, Vermintide 2 has received a fair bit of love, boasting “more than double its original content” thanks to several free DLCs, quality of life updates, as well as new game modes such as Chaos Wastes and Versus.
In addition, several premium DLCs add new career options to the Ubersreik Five, expanding the range of playstyles available to each of the title’s playable heroes. Can’t complain about more ways to slash, burn, and maim Skaven, Chaos, and Beastmen.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 going free-to-keep potentially means a new influx of players coming to what’s easily one of the best co-op shooter/slasher hybrids around. Better yet, although Fatshark is also working on Darktide, its 40K counterpart, which has been gaining momentum recently, more content is on the way for the 2018 game.
Speaking of Darktide, it is also set to receive the new Hive Scum class as part of the 10 Years of Tide celebrations. It’s certainly not a bad time to be a Warhammer fan.
