Returning to Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 in greater numbers and with new tricks and weapons, the Weyland-Yutani Combat Synthetics are the only human-like enemies we're expecting to meet. They're described as high-level threats.
As WY's main security force on LV-558, they'll stop at nothing to protect the Company's interests from nosy outsiders. From snipers to melee riot soldiers to heavy ranged combatants, the Combat Synths think tactically, take cover, and try to actively defend points against the advance of Colonial Marine squads.
Despite all the resources available to them, their ranged firepower, and having strength in numbers, a well-coordinated squad of Marines will turn them into scrap with the right combination of classes and tactical thinking. Just don't rush mindlessly into a firefight versus these guys.
