DAI Mod Manager v0.48 alpha v0.48 alpha includes a fix for mods that contain more than 255 resources. Some legacy byte code was left in by mistake causing large mods to become corrupted. DAI Mod Manager v0.47 alpha v0.47 alpha brings some more changes to the way textures are handled, this in conjunction with the latest toolset should effectively eliminate any pixelation that may occur. DAI Mod Manager v0.46 alpha v0.46 alpha brings some fundamental changes to the way texture streaming is calculated, that should result in correctly displayed textures from daimods. As for distributable mods, since the values were never calculated correctly in the first place, I have forced them to always use the highest MIP level so that they don't crash your game on load. This version now accepts the new daimod format which is much more flexible and powerful than the old distributable mods, it will continue to support distributable mods as well for the near future. Instructions 1/ Make sure to set up a central mod directory somewhere on your PC, where you place all your mods, distributable mods need to be placed in their own unique directories, inside these should be the package.mft file. DAIMOD mods can be placed anywhere in the central directory. Please refer to the screenshot below 2/ Launch the DAI Mod Manager tool, you should be prompted to select your Dragon Age Inqusition executable (This is not the mod manager executable). This is to establish the base path of Dragon Age to look for patch related files during patching. If for whatever reason you are not prompted, you then have the option to choose the directory once the tool loads, just hit browse next to the Dragon Age Path textbox. 3/ Next choose your central mods directory you created earlier (You do not select each individual mod folder, as this will clear out the mods list each time). If you select the right directory, you will see the mods list populate with all available mods. 4/ Select the mods you wish to install. For the new DAIMOD format, there is a configure button in the mod description area. If it is clickable, it means the mod has configurable parameters, click on it to bring up the parameters to configure. (Right now this feature is very very new, it will eventually become more powerful, flexible, and prettier). 5/ Prior to launching, review the options. 5a/ Verbose Logging - This will list every action that is taking place, for every bundle, you only ever need to turn this on if you are asked to, for debugging purposes, as it will tell me exactly where the process stopped. 5b/ Force rescan of Patch - In this version of the Mod Manager, the patch is deconstructed into a series of actions and cached for later reuse, if for some reason the patch is not being applied correctly, you can mark the cache for reconstruction. 6/ Finally hit merge, you then are given the choice to pick your output directory, you can either save it to somewhere on your PC outside of the DA directory and then copy it in afterwards or save it to the Update directory (under its own unique directory ie. Merged). If you try to save it to the base of the Dragon Age directory, the base of the Update directory, or try to overwrite your patch, you will recieve a message box prompting you to reread the instructions. 7/ If all went well you will see a new window popup, giving you feedback on the process. If this is the first time you have run this version of the tool (or a later version) or if a new patch has been released by Bioware, then it will begin by processing the patch - This is the deconstruction process, it can take anywhere from 5 - 10 minutes to complete, after which it is cached, and further merges will not take nearly as long. 8/ When the process completes, if you saved the merged patch elsewhere, then copy to the Dragon Age Update directory, then launch the game and enjoy. Note: This is a fan made mod tool and is not connected to Bioware or EA in any way PS: GrimmPrince was nice enough to make a video tutorial :) This video is out of date, but most of the information is still relevant, so please view if you are still unsure.
